Americas project briefs
Include local design inputs for projects that will be reviewed in the United States, Canada, or Mexico, including hangar bays where door height is the first argument.
European project briefs
If the brief invokes Eurocodes, state the proposed national annex and any contract requirement for execution class. Confirm the annex with the appointed local engineer.
Gulf project briefs
Include environmental exposure for port sheds and coastal projects. Coating class and cut-edge repair should be in the first note. A low snow load is not assumed; write the value or write unknown.
Hours and what a reply contains
Specify the time zone and preferred contact window. An initial response can identify missing criteria, a comparison scope and the records to request from the shortlisted supplier.
Use the form for project correspondence. Share a drawing title and revision first, then agree on a transfer method for confidential files.
What to put in the message
- Building use: warehouse, workshop, hangar, or cold shell. A house question is accepted only with occupancy and energy-code notes; otherwise it is returned.
- Plan size in feet or metres, plus eave height. A 30x40, 30x50, or 40x60 foot footprint is welcome as geometry and insufficient as a cost request.
- Country of the site and the code edition if known. Wind, snow, and seismic values with units, or the word unknown.
- Crane tonne rating, door head in metres, and envelope core if already chosen. Destination port if members will ship.
If delivery is split across purchase orders, list the expected shipping windows separately. Include any limits on unload equipment or individual bundle weights so quotes account for the receiving site.
